US-Georgia Cross Cultural Crescendo

Updated: Feb 13

A Night to Remember!

On February 2nd, 2025, music and culture came together in a breathtaking celebration at the US-Georgia Cross Cultural Crescendo in Manhattan. This unforgettable concert, presented by International Concerts and the Center for Interfaith Dialogue, in collaboration with Temple Emanu-EL, with a special invitation to AFG supporters, entertained audiences with an evening of arias, romances, choral masterpieces, and cantorial songs, performed by an incredible lineup of artists.

From the mesmerizing movements of Pesvebi Dance Studio of New York to the powerful vocals of Gocha Abuladze and Zekari Dancing Cranes Chorus the stage was alive with the rich artistic traditions of Georgia.

American Friends of Georgia (AFG) was proud to support this event by promoting the concert, including the production of a special video reel by Ezra Freeman, a Georgian-American influencer, and by coordinating authentic Georgian food catering for the reception.

During the reception, Diana Stomsvik, Artistic Producer and Presenter of International Concerts, introduced Dr. Nino Japaridze—President of AFG, and Ezra Freeman who spoke about AFG’s origins, mission, and the profound impact AFG has had since its founding in 1994 on the lives of the most vulnerable populations in Georgia.

Guests enjoyed a delicious spread provided by Georgian restaurants in New York: Chito Gvrito, Cheeseboat, and Marani Glatt Kosher. AFG appreciates their generous in-kind food contributions provided in addition to the food secured by Ms. Stomsvik for the reception following the concert.  A special thank you to Chris O’Connor and Lika Arce, AFG’s Advisory Board members and the founders of Chito Gvrito, for their continued dedication to our mission.

A heartfelt thank you to all who attended and contributed to this incredible event—including the talented performers, dedicated organizers, especially Diana Stomsvik, Dr. Alyssa Cady and Senior Cantor Mo Glazman, and our donors. Your support allows AFG to continue our mission of humanitarian aid and cultural collaboration.
