Support Georgians Assisting Ukrainians
Together for Real Changes
Founded in 2013 by a former Peace Corps volunteer and a Georgian mother whose son has muscular dystrophy, Together for Real Changes has been committed to providing care to children with disabilities and their families in rural parts of Georgia.
TRC brings communities together and encourages families who understand each other to provide care and become advocates for themselves in the region.
ABOUT
Many of the thousands of children with disabilities in rural Georgia lack adequate access to food and clothing, as well as the psychological and therapeutic care they might require.
TRC works through a peer-to-peer method of bringing parents, children, local services, and municipal governments together to deliver services and support to children and adults with disabilities.
ADDITIONAL SUPPORT
Together for Real Changes also provides much-needed assistance to 120 families and elderly living alone per year. AFG has been able to assist with direct financial support, including important start-up funds and general operating support that larger organizations do not fund.
